Manuscripts submitted to IJPSM must present original research that has not been previously published in any form or language, unless with prior consent from the Editors. Authors are required to clearly state the novelty and scientific advancement of their work or approach in the covering letter, highlighting its contribution to the field.
Papers must be substantiated by detailed experimental data, clearly presented and reproducible. Manuscripts lacking sufficient technical substantiation or transparency in data presentation, including statistical analysis, will not be considered for publication. Any technical queries related to manuscripts will be referred back to the authors. However, the Editors reserve the right to make alterations to the text to improve clarity or presentation without modifying the technical content of the manuscript.
Manuscripts submitted under multiple authorship are reviewed with the assumption that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the research and have approved the final manuscript. Authors must adhere to the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) guidelines for authorship criteria.
IJPSM insists on rigorous ethical practices in human and animal research. Authors must provide evidence of ethical approval from a relevant Ethics Committee for both human and animal studies upon request. The Materials and Methods section of all research articles must include a statement detailing ethical practices, including approval references and adherence to guidelines provided by CPCSEA (for animal studies) and ICMR (for human studies). Manuscripts failing to meet these ethical standards will not be considered.
Plagiarism is treated with the utmost seriousness. Authors must avoid reproducing text, tables, or illustrations from other sources without proper citation or permission. All manuscripts will undergo plagiarism checks using specialized software. Any detected instances of plagiarism will result in immediate rejection or retraction of the manuscript.
The peer-review process is central to our editorial policy. Manuscripts submitted to IJPSM are subjected to a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers provide unbiased, fair, and constructive feedback based on the scientific merit of the manuscript. Both authors and reviewers are expected to maintain confidentiality during the review process. The Editors reserve the right to make final decisions regarding manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection, based solely on reviewers' feedback.
IJPSM is published quarterly, with issues released in March, June, September, and December each year.
All editorial rights are reserved by the Editor-in-Chief, who retains final authority over the acceptance, revision, and publication of manuscripts. The Editor-in-Chief ensures that all manuscripts meet the journal's quality standards and scientific merit before publication.
By adhering to these policies, IJPSM is committed to upholding the integrity of scientific publishing, ensuring transparency, reproducibility, and accessibility in all our published research. We aim to contribute meaningfully to the fields of pharmaceutical science and medicine and promote open science practices.
